Week two of the Italian Softball League gets under way with all teams but two expected to hit the diamond on Saturday afternoon and evening

Week two of the Italian Softball League gets under way with all teams but two expected to hit the diamond on Saturday afternoon and evening. The two clubs left out of Saturday’s action will take the field tomorrow in Bollate in a matchup that will feature Bollate Softball and Banco di Sardegna Nuoro. After one week in Division A it is Bollate that leads the way after their two wins a week ago over Legnano (7-1, 7-1), however on Sunday look for Banco di Sardegna Nuoro to put them to the test in both games one and two of the two game series. Elsewhere in the Division the Stars Staranzano will host the Caronno Rheavendors, while the last weekend of the series will feature Rhibo Softball La Loggia and Legnano.

In Division B the situation is just a little bit more interesting with three of the six clubs heading into the weekend with a 2 and 0 record. Labadini Collecchio will take be taking the field to test the secces that they experienced a week ago in Caserta when they stunned the home team with a series sweep. Fiorini Forlí will host Caserta for two on Saturday in hopes of catching Caserta sleeping for a second straight weekend in order to stay perfect on the season. The last series in Division B this weekend will feature the undefeated Bussolengo Softball Club against one of the ISL’s newcomers to the league in 2014, Taurus Parma.
