With the Elite National Baseball Team having no formal 2024 competitions scheduled at this time, the center of focus is on the Club Italia LA28 program, which aims to prepare young prospects so that Team Italy qualifies for the Los Angeles Olympic Games. Azzurri manager and National Baseball Hall of Famer Mike Piazza will work with an extended group of athletes along with coaches Gianguido Poma, Stefano Cappuccini, Roberto Corradini, Rolando Cretis, Alberto D'Auria, Carlo Del Santo and Michele Gerali.
