The official calendar of the 2014 Italian Baseball League’s first round

The 2014 IBL season will kick off between newcomer Tommasin Padova and the three time defending champs, T&A San Marino, in Padova, while it will be Bologna on the road in Godo for the other series in division A

The 2014 IBL season will kick off between newcomer Tommasin Padova and the three time defending champs, T&A San Marino, in Padova, while it will be Bologna on the road in Godo for the other series in division A. In division B Rimini will play host to Nettuno while in Parma, the home team will welcome in Grosseto.

A new addition to the schedule in the Italian Baseball League for the 2014 season will be interleague play, where division A will take on division B for one two game series against each team in the other division. Interleague play will begin on the 25th and 26th of April, when Rimini and Bologna will fight it out in the first of 4 weekends of play of interleague play. The first round of this year’s schedule will come to a conclusion on the 7th of June, at which point the top two clubs from each division will move onto round two, with three games a week and expanded rosters. At the end of round two the clubs with the top two records will fight it out in the Italian Baseball Series, which begins on the 8th of August.
