The 2014 ISL season set to begin on April the 5th

The 2014 Italian Softball League calendar is now official and set to begin on the 5th of April

The 2014 Italian Softball League calendar is now official and set to begin on the 5th of April. This year’s league will be divided into two divisions made up of six teams each. The regular season will come to a conclusion on the 14th of June. On the 28th of June the Italian Cup will get underway, lasting almost a month before coming to a finish on the 20th of July. Soon there after the league’s semifinals will get going in a best of 3 series to be played on the 2nd and 3rd of August. The league will once again break for the World Cup of Softball in Holland, returning to action for the ISL’s Finals Series (Best of 5 series), which will begin on the 13 of September and last till the 21st.

In 2014 the La Loggia will get a chance to defend their title while the rest of the league will be out to dethrone the team from Torino (Turin). La Loggia will be one of six clubs in division ‘A’ of the ISL, along with Nuoro, Bollate, Legnano, and the two newcomers, Caronno and Staranzano. On the other side in division ‘B’, Caserta, Unione Fermana, Bussolengo, Forlì, Parma and Collecchio will all fight it out for 2 of the 4 playoff spots.
