The 2014 IBL All-Star Game returns to Nettuno

The 2014 IBL All-Star game will be headed back to Nettuno to where the event all got started back in 2011, a game that saw 7,000 fans pack the stadium it what turned out to be an 11 to 4 for the Italian National Team over the IBL All-Stars

The 2014 IBL All-Star game will be headed back to Nettuno to where the event all got started back in 2011, a game that saw 7,000 fans pack the stadium it what turned out to be an 11 to 4 for the Italian National Team over the IBL All-Stars.

The game is programmed to take place on the Friday the 11th of July, a day that will be full of events, of which includes plenty of on and off the field activities.

The big boys will be hitting the field first to take part in the annual Mine Home Run Derby contest, which will get underway at 7:00 pm local time and will feature three representatives from both the Italian National Team and IBL All-Stars.

Soon there after the conclusion of the Mine Home Run Derby, the IBL All-Stars who will be coached by T&A San Marino’s manager Doriano Bindi will face off against Marco Mazzieri’s Italian National Team. Thus far in the young history of this event, both Team Italy and the IBL All-Stars have one win and one tie apiece to their name. The game is officially scheduled to get started at 9:00 pm local time, with ticket prices for those who purchase ahead of time beginning at 8 euro each, while at the gate the prices will begin at 10 euro.

The official voting will begin on June 11th on the Italian Baseball Federation’s official website.
