Team Italy women’s softball team undergoes athletic and physical tests in Rome

Eighteen players have been summoned by Team Italy Elite manager Federico Pizzolini, who will assisted by Azzurre staff members and the CONI Institute of Sciences at the Giulio Onesti Olympic Training Center in Rome, to oversee a weekend of athletic and physical tests on February 4 and 5, 2023

After an initial meeting for the Team Italy women’s softball squad on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 1 pm, eighteen players will begin a series of athletic and physical tests conducted by the CONI Institute of Sciences at the Giulio Onesti Olympic Training Center in Rome that will continue through Sunday morning, February 5, 2023. Azzurre manager Federico Pizzolini will be joined by members of his staff including: Elio Paolini, Andrea Cardone, Francesca Ambruoso, Michele Corbo and Mosè Serino.

The following players are expected to report in Rome: Giada Acanfora (Pianoro Softball), Anita Bartoli (Nuove Pantere Lucca), Flavia Carletti (Sestese Softball), Elisa Cecchetti (G.S. Esercito-Bollate Soft. 1969), Alessia Colonna (Giovanili Collecchio), Sofia Fabbian (Thunders & Dragons), Marta Gasparotto (G.S. Esercito-Stars Ronchi), Noemi Giacometti (Thunders & Dragons), Giulia Longhi (G.S. Esercito-Cali Roma Girls), Fabrizia Marrone (Saronno Softball), Alessia Melegari (Giovanili Collecchio), Tara Melassi (Crocetta Baseball), Bianca Messina Garibaldi (Caronno Softball), Elisa Princic (Bussolengo 2.0), Linda Rampoldi (Bollate Softball 1969), Alessandra Rotondo (Saronno Softball), Melany Sheldon (Caronno Softball) and Marianna Zumerle (Bussolengo 2.0).
