After an intense week of training under the Arizona sun, Team Italy is prepared for its 2023 World Baseball Classic debut against Cuba at Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium in Taiwan on Thursday, March 9th at 7 pm (local time) or 6 am (EST).
Team Italy manager and National Baseball Hall of Famer Mike Piazza said, "I am very satisfied with the work we have done and with what I have seen here. I want to thank Notre Dame Preparatory High School for the impeccable hospitality and support. Our group is made up of great people with excellent players and coaches. The whole team is enthusiastic about this experience and for what awaits us in Taiwan. We want this enthusiasm to carry on to the field, not only for us but for the entire Italian baseball movement."
