The 2014 Nettuno club is starting to come together after going through a winter that put in question its participation in the 2014 Italian Baseball League. Those ballplayers present this past Saturday at the team first official practice of the year were: Mirco Caradonna, Andrea Castrì, William Montecchi, Alessandro Paoletti, Davide Lionetti, Manuel Evangelista, Federico Giordani, and Sergio Cestarelli. In a previously publicized article, Grosseto (Mastiff) had claimed that Mirco Caradonna would be joining their ballclub this season, along with Ennio Retrosi, however those statements were not true, and in fact Caradonna has stated personally that he will play for Nettuno in 2014, and as for Retrosi, he is still undecided.

Leading this historic club as the teams new manager into what will sure be a challenging season with many obstacles will be Claudio Scerrato. Scerrato is an ex pitcher of the Nettuno Baseball organization who accumulated more then 200 appearances, and 82 wins over has Italian baseball career. Joining Scerrato’s coaching staff will be Marco Barboni, Sandro Guerra, Leonardo Mazzanti and Roberto De Franceschi
