Parma marched into San Marino’s Serravalle Stadium and got sent packing after only six and one-half innings

Parma marched into San Marino’s Serravalle Stadium and got sent packing after only six and one-half innings.

San Marino sent Parma their walking papers, beating up on their opponents’ pitchers to the tune of 17 runs on 18 hits.

San Marino applied the most heat to Parma in the 4th inning, raising the temperature when a good nine runners crossed the plate, five of those cruised in thanks to two home runs, for the tiny republic off the Adriatic Sea.

The win for San Marino puts them a full game ahead of second-place Bologna and two games in front of third-place Rimini.

The loss for Parma places them at the .500 mark, four games behind front running San Marino.

Both teams will host series in Week 5. San Marino will welcome Godo; Nettuno will travel to Parma; Rimini will travel north to meet Novara; and Bologna heads west to engage Grosseto.
