Team Italy rises to sixth place in WBSC Women’s Softball Ranking

For the first time in history since the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) established the women's softball ranking, Team Italy has reached its highest position ever in sixth place

According to the WBSC women’s softball ranking released on November 10, 2023, Team Italy rose two positions from eighth to sixth (1816 points) and remained the top-ranked European softball powerhouse, while trailing fifth-ranked Canada (1885 points) by just 69 points. Mexico (1684 points) ranked ninth, the Netherlands placed 10th (1602 points) and the Czech Republic reached 11th (1483 points).

There were no changes in the first three positions with USA (4301 points), Japan (2899 points) and Puerto Rico (2815 points) on top, while Chinese Taipei (2573 points) rose to fourth place.
