Prospective prospects for the Team Italy U18 baseball squad will take part in a tournament organized by the Regensburg Academy and also feature teams from the Friuli Venezia Giulia Academy and Bavaria from October 6-8, 2023, Azzurri U18 manager Gianguido Poma has chosen 20 young and talent players born from 2006-2008 to participate in the German competition. Pitchers Matteo Marelli and Giacomo Taschin return to the team after playing in the 2022 European Baseball Championship, while Azzurri hurler Diego Gergolet will represent the Friuli Venezia Giulia Academy.
The Italians will leave on Thursday, October 5th at 2pm from Verona. The first game is scheduled on Friday at 1 pm against the Regensburg Baseball Academy; There are two games planned on Saturday beginning at 11 am against Bavaria followed by 2.30 pm contest against Friuli Venezia Giulia. The finals will be held on Sunday at 11 am (on field 1) and 11.30 am (at the Regensburg Stadium).
