The 2023 MLB European Development Tournament is an initiative led by Major League Baseball that will bring 90 players from all over Europe to compete in an exhibition tournament. The event will take place from June 19-25, 2023 in London and will allow participants to train before competing and showcasing in four exhibition games. In addition, the players will attend the first game of the 2023 London Series between the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs at London Stadium on June 24, 2023.
The 90 athletes called up will be divided into 3 teams of 30 players, regardless of their federation. The invited Italian players are as follows:
Andres Annunziata (2005), Lorenzo Barbona (2006), Samuele Bruno (2003), Edoardo Cornelli (2006), Alessandro Gamberini (2007), Samuele Gamberini (2003), Alessandro Laise (2005), Matteo Marelli (2006), Giacomo Taschin (2006), and Lorenzo Taschin (2005).
