Team Italy U18 manager Guglielmo Trinci feels upbeat after workout for 52 baseball prospects in Arezzo

With eyes on the U18 European Baseball in Regensberg, Germany in July, Azzurri manager Guglielmo Trinci along with coaches Gianmario Costa, Alessandro Fanfoni, Claudio Corradi and Gianluca Poli have called for additional workouts on April 25th in Verona and May 1st in Piacenza.

Team Italy U18 baseball manager Guglielmo Trinci feels good after watching two groups of 26 players on separate days recently in Arezzo. The new skipper said. "This first gathering we needed to get to know the prospects who were born in 2006 and 2007, even if our doors in this first period are open to all national talents. We will have to be good at identifying the players for the final roster in order to have the right chemistry for a winning team. At the U18 European Baseball Championship, I would like to have 20 players with the mindset of 20 stray dogs, who are hungry, dedicated and ready to sacrifice everything for the greater good of the team."

The U18 European Baseball Championship takes place in Regensburg, Germany from July 8-14, 2024, Azzurri manager Guglielmo Trinci has preparations in place. He commented, "We have little time to train and we will take advantage of every opportunity. A pre-season tournament is also already planned from July 2nd to 5th or 6th in Regensburg, during which time we will compete with some teams that will participate in the European Championship in Germany. Even in Arezzo, which was a beneficial gathering thanks to the extraordinary hospitality of the club team that hosted us, we played a scrimmage with each pitcher throwing 20 pitches after a whole day of work."
