The 2021 European Baseball Championship Piemonte toasts with Mèttola
The 2021 European Baseball Championship in Piemonte has partnered with Mèttola, makers of both fine wines and sparkling wines. With its vibrant location in the lush region between Neive, Treiso and Trezzo Tinella, the famliy-run Mèttola facility produces world-class Langa wines. Federazione Italiana Baseball Softball (FIBS) President Andrea Marcon said, "We had set ourselves the goal of involving companies that represented Piemontese food and wine excellence. After visiting the Mèttola Winery, we had no doubts that we had found our first official partner."
Mèttola President and Head of Marketing Giovanni Capano echoed the sentiment for the newly-signed agreement for the 2021 European Baseball Championship in Piemonte. He said, "It is a natural match for us since baseball is an international sport that embodies the noble values of fairness and competition. We produce a natural and healthy product for wine lovers from all over the world who enjoy the good things in life. How we could resist such a great opportunity to partner with the 2021 European Baseball Championship in Piemonte?"
The sponsorship agreement between FIBS and Mèttola is a true synergy. In celebration of the upcoming Euro Championship, there will be a special Mèttola Baseball Collection of Doc and Docg wines available in honor of the event. Flavio Bera, oenologist and managing director of Mèttola, chose the most representative Piemontese wines to be included in the Mèttola Baseball Collection: Barolo Docg, Moscato d'Asti Docg, Piemonte Doc Moscato Passito, Langhe Doc Rosso, Barbera d'Alba Doc, Dolcetto d 'Alba Doc Superiore, Langhe Doc Nascetta and Dolcetto d'Alba Doc.
