It’s going to be a young Nettuno 2 with a Cuban presence in 2014. The club that will be guided by Guglielmo Trinci has officially announced that Cubans Norberto Gonzalez (left handed pitcher) and Joan Carlos Pedroso (right handed slugging first baseman) have been picked up by the newest Italian Baseball League’s organization. Gonzalez is a left handed pitcher with Olympic experience while Pedroso has more then 300 homers under his belt in the Cuban Baseball League. Topping off the roster will also be, Ronnie Fhurong, a young second baseman out of Cal State Monterrey. As for possible other foreign acquisition, Trinci has decided to keep one of his sport visas until he is sure that the club needs another helping hand.  Expected to be filling up the diamond for Nettuno 2 will be Martone at SS, Colagrossi at 3rd, along with newcomers Fhurong at 2nd and Pedroso at 1st. In the outfield look for Nick Davenport, Sellaroli and Flavio Andreozzi to occupy all three starting positions, while Enzo Sanna and Nestor Morville will be expected to add depth to the roster. Behind the dish Mario Trinci should be the clubs everyday catcher. On the bump Carletto Richetti and Andrea Pizziconi will battle it out for the starting pitcher role in the Italian game, with the winner of the job will eventually be backed up by Modica, Taschini, Rodo, Francesco and Federico Cozzolino out of the pen.  As for the foreign game Gonzalez will be expected to take the club deep into every game that he starts. The coaching staff will consist of Trinci at the helm of the ship along side pitching coach Massimiliano Masin, Alberto D’Auria, Gianni Mastropietro and Marco Camusi. “This is year one for us, but we expect to cause problems on the diamond for the opposing clubs that we face,” expressed Trinci.
