The College Pipeline program offered by FIBS and the Italian American Baseball Foundation reaches new heights on Saturday, October 14 and Sunday, October 15 with the Softball Junior College Showcase 2023 coordinated by Between The Lines (BTL) and its staff from St. Louis on the Bollate Softball fields.
The showcase is limited to a maximum of 25 FIBS registered players born in 2005, 2006 and 2007, in good standing at their respective high school and with basic knowledge of the English language, who wish to use this opportunity to study and play softball in the United States.
The Between The Lines platform is a reference showcase for college coaches of the various categories in North America (and beyond) that constantly updates the profiles of the registered players. BTL guides them in a personalized way with the process of selection and development based on their technical characteristics.
The IABF, for its part, will then contribute to the costs relating to the college tuition with a partial scholarship to support the families of the players who participate.
The Between The Lines' Junior College Softball Showcase 2023 will be supervised by Team Italy Special Advisor Mike Candrea and structured as follows:
10/14 – 9 am to 2:30 pm – technical and physical tests, with measurement of athletic metrics, batting and defense practice.
10/15 – 10 am to 4 pm – two games.
The individual registration cost for the showcase is 200 euros, including an account on the BTL portal, snacks on October 14th and 15th and a souvenir T-shirt.
Participation is limited to a maximum of 25 players. Applications must be made by completing and emailing the form below to: segreteria@fibs.it (no later than October 9, 2023 at 12 noon).
