European Baseball Champions League to replace European Baseball Champions Cup in 2024

Four of the most prominent European baseball powerhouses— Italy, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Germany— in conjunction with WBSC Europe announced at the recent European Baseball Championship in the Czech Republic that they will participate in the European Baseball Champions League in 2024.

The European Baseball Champions League will replace the existing Baseball European Baseball Champions Cup, marking a historical and transformative shift on the continent for future European club competitions.

The European Baseball Champions League will be made up of a maximum of eight elite teams from Italy, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Germany. The top European baseball clubs will play in a series of home and away games in different European cities to battle for the title of European Champions during the final four competition.

While the basic structure of the European Baseball Champions League has been established, more details will be revealed in the coming weeks by WBSC Europe and the respective federations.
