Dates to remember in 2014

The IBL (Italian Baseball League) gets underway this evening, the 4th of April up and down the Italian peninsula, while on Saturday the 5th it will be the ISL’s (Italian Softball League) turn to get things going

The IBL (Italian Baseball League) gets underway this evening, the 4th of April up and down the Italian peninsula, while on Saturday the 5th it will be the ISL’s (Italian Softball League) turn to get things going.

The European Champions Cup is scheduled for the week of the 17th of June in both Brno, Czech Republic and Hoofdorp, Holland. The Italian clubs taking place in the tournament will be San Marino (in Hoofdorp), Nettuno (in Hoofdorp), and Rimini (in Bruno).

The Italian Softball Series is currently marked down to begin on the 5th of July, and it will run through the 13th in a best of five series between the top to teams in Italy.

On the 11th of July the IBL All-Star game will be returning to the town nicknamed the ‘City of Baseball’, Nettuno, once again (It was held in Nettuno back in 2011).

The Italian Baseball Series will run from the 8th through the 28th of August (a best of 7 series for the title).

Baseball and Softball National teams

The Italian Softball Week will run from the 7th through the 11th of August.

The Italian Baseball Week will run from the 5th through the 9th of September.

The World Softball Championship will be taking place in Holland from the 15th to the 24th of August, while on the men’s side the European Championship will get underway in the middle of September (15th) and last through the 21st in both Germany and the Czech Republic. Team Italy will be looking for a three-peat on the Baseball side.
