Team Italy competes in U15 Baseball World Cup Group A in Barranquilla, Colombia from August 16-25, 2024

The Azzurrini are placed in Group A with host Colombia, Japan, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Guam in the 20th edition of the U15 Baseball World Cup

The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) has announced the two groups for the 20th edition of the U15 Baseball World Cup. Team Italy returns to the international competition for the first time since 2014 and makes its fifth overall appearance.

The young and talents Italians face Japan, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Colombia and Guam in U15 Baseball World Cup Group A. Group B consists of Mexico, Taiwan, Venezuela, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Nicaragua and South Africa.

Edgar Renteria Stadium in Barranquilla will host one of the groups, the Super Round and the medal games. The stadium is named after former MLB All-Star shortstop and two-time World Series champion Edgar Renteria. The facility was the main venue for the U23 Baseball World Cup in 2018.

The Once de Noviembre Stadium in Cartagena de Indias will host the other group and the 7th-12th Placement Round. The venue is dedicated to the day in 1811 when the Cartagena Province gained independence from Spain.

The top three teams in each group advance to the Super Round from which the four best teams will compete for the three medals.
