At CON-X 2024, the CNC component will be very educational and discuss multiple subjects such as the most frequent errors, the WBSC regulations, the new statistical program, the judgment of the scorekeeper and what constitutes a base hit, the pitch count formula and other topics of interest.
In addition, CNC Press Office will proudly present 2013-2023: the Numbers at the Edge of the Pitch, an analysis of a decade of information compiled by the Technical Commission detailing games and international tournaments in Italy covered by the National Classification Committee.
The CON-X 2024 CNC program also includes additional training for the online course at the FIBS Academy. Videos will be provided by the CNC Technical Commission. Some world-class guests highlight the weekend presentations: Spaniard Pablo Carpio, international scorer with over thirty-five years of experience and three editions of the Olympic Games to his credit will be joined by Michael Zambelli, creator of the statistics program MyBall Club and former Serie A player (128 games as a pitcher and 607.1 innings thrown between 1998 and 2009), Paul Macaluso, webmaster responsible for the IT network and relations between the WBSC and the World Federations, and Spanish Royal Baseball Softball Federation Vice President and Scorekeepers President Susana Santos.
A slew of Italian speakers will also present CON-X 2024 including: Stefano Pieri (CNC Technical Commission President since 2014), Maurizio Ronchi (scorekeeper with over 1500 games experience, member of the ESF Technical Commission for 12 years and speaker at every CNC Convention), Roberto Saletti (CNC national instructor of the CNC and official scorekeeperfor last year’s WBSC Softball World Cup Women's Group C in Buttrio, the U18 World Baseball Championship in Taiwan, the Women's Softball European Premiere Cup in Saronno and the U23 European Championship in Vienna) and Gaia Gabanini (national scorekeeper since 2018 and official scorekeeper of the 2019 Baseball Champions Cup and 2021 Softball Champions Cup).
