San Marino and Rimini will be on the field for two games tomorrow (Sunday the 4th) as well as Godo and Nettuno2.

In game one of two on Saturday down in Nettuno it was first place home team that kept their foot on the throttle, as they were able to hang on and walk away with a 5 to 4 victory against Padova. Picking up the win out of the pen for Nettuno was Rodriguez with 6 solid innings of work were he gave up 3 hits, 2 walks, 1 run, all while striking out 9 Padova hitters. Nettuno got off to an early lead against the lefty, Crapaldi with 2 quick runs in the 1st, and 1 in the 2nd. In the 3rd Crepaldi was relieved by Medina after Padova had tied the game at 3 all with a 3 run top of the 3rd, however Medina went onto give up one in the bottom of the 3rd and one more in the bottom of the 5th, all of which put Nettuno out to the 5 to 3 lead. Padova picked up one more in the 7th, but that would be it off of Rodriguez as he was able to tiptoe around a couple of difficult situation in order to secure the 5-4 win for his club. In the box it was Sforza, Cibati and Paoletti that racked up 2 hits apiece, while Scorziello had a huge 3 hit 3 RBI game.

Up in Bologna both Unipol and Lino’s Coffee Parma took a soggy field for game one of two on Saturday afternoon. On the bump for Parma it was Sanchez (7 innings pitched, 3 hits, 2 runs), who matched up against Williamson (6 innings pitched, 6 hits, 3 runs) for Bologna, where both of these power arms went at it for more the half the game in a tightly fought battle. In the 8th Parma went to the southpaw, Yepez, out of the pen who seemed to struggle mightily with his control, giving up 3 walks and a pinch-hit single up the middle to Fuzzi, which crossed both the tying and winning runs for Bologna. With the win Bologna moves to 8 and 1 on the season, while Parma falls to 4 and 5.
