Bologna, San Marino and Parma win, while Rimini sighs a breath of relief

UnipolSai Bologna struggled against Nettuno2, but walk off with the win. Lino’s Coffee Parma and Rimini win, which puts them one up on Nettuno in Division B.

T&A San Marino took game one of their two game set with Nettuno by the final of 7 to 1 on Friday evening in San Marino. It was a game that was never really in question as Junior Guerra was able to control the bats of Nettuno even after suffering a few control problems in the 2nd frame. Guerra finished with a line of 6 innings pitched, 3 hits and 9 strikeouts. The two game series will come to a conclusion this evening in San Marino with a game time of 8:30 pm.

    

Lino's Coffee Parma took a big game one against Padova in Parma on Friday evening. The final in game was 6 to 1. Sanchez picked up the win in this one after coming on in the second inning, while on the other side of the ball it was Uviedo that suffered the loss. At the plate Poma, Desimoni, and Imperiali all picked up two hits apiece, while Imperiali also drove in an impressive 4 runs. Game two this evening will feature two Italian arms, with the first pitch scheduled for 8:30 pm.

    

Rimini was put to the test in Godo on Friday night in a game that lasted 4 hours. In the end they were able to head home for the evening with the 10-9 victory, but without a 5 run 7th inning the Pirates would have once again found themselves in deep water heading into Saturday’s 8:30 pm game. Picking up the win for Rimini was Franklyn Torres, while suffering the loss was Alex Bassani. Tonight’s game will feature Calero for Godo and Ekstrom for Rimini.

    

Finally in Bologna, UnipolSai was put to the test against Nettuno2 on Friday evening, as the bottom dweller in Division B took the top team in the league into extras. 10 innings were needed to decide this one, with the game coming to an end on a walk off single by Infante that plated Fuzzi. The series will conclude tonight in Bologna with a start time of 8:30 pm.
