Danilo Biagioli, president of Mastiff, has no doubts about his clubs future in the IBL, as he reassured the press that his club is making progress, and that the resignation of the club’s GM will not affect current or future projects in the works. A couple of names have surfaced on whom it will be who will fill the General Manager position. Currently the two in contention for the job are Luca Moretti and Moreno Funzione. As for the 2014 roster, outfielder Ennio Retrosi (Godo in 2013), pitcher Andrea Pizziconi (Nettuno 2013), utility Rolexis Molina (Foreigner, Novara 2013), infielder Sgnaolin (Nettuno 2013), outfielder Ermini (Bologna 2013), and catcher/ 1st base Bischeri (Bologna 2013) are all expected to help make Grosseto a contender in division B of the IBL. The organization has also confirmed one of the foreign pitchers off of their 2013 roster, hard throwing right-hander Marquez, and they expect to add on another power bat (foreigner) to go along with another foreign arm.
