Around 20 teams are expected to participate in the Dutch-hosted 2024 Women's Softball European Championship at the UVV softball complex, the Domstad Dodgers Ballpark, the Nieuwegein Diamonds and the Centrals/Wombats in De Bilt fields from September 1-7, 2024
The Netherlands hosted the Women's Softball European Championship in 2015 in Rosmalen before holding the elite-level international competition again in 2019 in Utrecht. Under the leadership of the late and great manager Enrico Obletter, Team Italy won the 2019 Women's Softball European Championship, which served as the qualifier for the 2020 Olympic Games.
