In the U18 European Baseball Championship in Regensburg, Germany from July 8-14, 2024, Team Italy is in Group A along with defending champion Spain, host Germany, Israel, Austria and Croatia. Group B is comprised of the 2022 runner-up Kingdom of the Netherlands, Czech Republic, France, Great Britain, Belgium and Sweden. Azzurrini skipper Guglielmo Trinci will be assisted by pitching coach Gianluca Poli, coaches Claudio Corradi, Gianmario Costa, Alessandro Fanfoni and athletic trainer Simone Bonaccorso.
The Italians were defeated 4-2 by host Czech Republic in the 2022 U18 European Baseball Championship Bronze Medal Game and came home empty handed after compiling a 4-3 record. With a new and revitalized coaching staff taking cues from Steel Sports The Lasorda Way program, the Team Italy U18 baseball squad is destined for success. Forza #Italia!
