The Federal Council approves the national team coaching staffs

On Saturday the 18th of January the Federal Council came to terms on the complete staff of both the baseball and softball national teams for all age groups

On Saturday the 18th of January the Federal Council came to terms on the complete staff of both the baseball and softball national teams for all age groups. Starting with the ‘big’ club on the baseball side, it’s going to be manager Marco Mazzieri, and coaches Bill Holmberg (pitching coach), Mike Piazza (batting coach), Marco Nanni, Gilberto Gerali, Alberto D'Auria, Augusto Medina and Claudio Vecchi. The Under 21 club will be led by manager Guglielmo Trinci, coach Rolando Cretis and pitching coach Claudio Corradi. For the juniors club it will be manager Gianguido Poma, pitching coach Bill Holmberg, and the rest of the staff Gian Mario Costa and Mario Mascitelli. Mario Da Re will be the manager of the Under 15 team, and will be backed up by pitching coach Domenico Micheli, and coaches Alessandro Flisi and Francesco Aluffi.

Moving onto softball, Marina Centrone will once again lead the ‘Azzurri’ girls along side pitching coach, Monica Corvino and the rest of her staff, Paola Marfoglia and Calixto Soca Mijar. The new manager of the junior team will be Alessandra Cirelli, who will be coaching along side pitching coach Marco Villani, and assistant coaches Marta Gambella and Massimo Voltari. Finally, leading the cadette level will be Simona Nava, Filippo Colonna as the pitching coach, Anna Battigelli and Francesco Barresi as assistances.
