Team Italy outfielder John Andreoli has been called up to join the San Diego Padres tonight for their game against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field in Denver. In five games for Padres' Triple-A affiliate El Paso Chihuahuas in 2021, John Andreoli has shown his power at the plate with a double and home run to his credit.
Although he is not in tonight's starting lineup, Padres manager Jayce Tingler could call on John Andreoli late in the game as a pinch hitter, pinch runner or defensive replacement. With a doubleheader between the Padres and Rockies slated for May 12, 2021 beginning at 3:10 pm (EDT), it is more likely John Andreoli will see action in one of the two games scheduled tomorrow.
