Last night the game between Palfinger Reggio Emilia and the Godo Knights had to be postponed due to heavy rain that began more or less at game time. The game that was scheduled to be televised live on RaiSport 2 will now be played on Saturday afternoon in Reggio with a start time of 15.30. Elsewhere in the league Unipol Bologna and the Rimini Pirates will faceoff in a battle for first. Earlier on this season it was Bologna who came out victorious twice over Catanoso’s club, handing them their first two losses of the season.

Tonight in Bologna two clubs that are fighting for that top spot in the league will be going at it head to head. Unipol Bologna’s manager, Marco Nanni, is pushing his club to work on their mental game, as they seem to have had a lapse over their last couple of weeks after loosing one to both Novara and Ronchi dei Legionari. Tonight it will be the lefty, Luque getting the call on his home bump, with Rivero backing him up out of the pen. “The idea is to take game one at home, and we plan to pull out all of the stops in order to do so. (Nanni) On Saturday in game two at Rimini it will be D’Angelo or Richetti who will take on Rimini’s potent offense.

The Pirates manager, Chris Catanoso, is out defend that top spot in the IBL and is convinced that a good performance by his club against the number two in the group will defiantly give them the upper hand throughout the rest of the regular season and maybe even playoffs with the potential home field advantage in the first phase round robin. Tonight Bazardo will get the ball, while Corradini will be going on Saturday on his home mound. Buccheri will be getting the start in the outfield tonight, the hard-hitting Romero will fill the DH role, and Gomez will start at second with Babini serving a game suspension.
