Rimini’s new shortstop for the 2015 IBL season will be Ray Olmedo. Olmedo is a switch hitting shortstop out of Maracay, Venezuela with an impressive resume behind him having played in 218 games at the Big League Level in the US between the Cincinnati Reds (2003 - 2006), Toronto Blue Jays (2007) and Chicago White Sox (2012). At the AAA level, Olmedo accumulated 1052 appearances, with his latest experiences coming in a Durham Bulls (Tampa Bay Rays organization) uniform this past season. Rimini’s revamped infield will now round out with Mazzanti at 3rd, Olmedo at short, Babini at 2nd and Spinelli at 1st.
