Nicolò Clemente signed with the Boston Red Sox organization this week. He is the first Italian born ballplayer to ever be signed by the Red Sox. Clemente is a right-handed pitcher from Bologna, Italy, born in 1998 that sits at 5 feet 10 inches. This young arms first step will be in the Dominican Instructional league this summer before possibly moving to minor league ball in 2015.
