All eyes on one four game series between Dino Bigioni Unione Fermana and Urbe Roma this weekend, asUnione Fermana looks to take 2 of 4 in order to reach the playoffs while Urbe Roma hopes not to finish the season without a win. The other three clubs that are already in the postseason, which is set to begin at the end of July (Season being put on hold for the Softball European Championship in Prague which begins on the 7th.) are Caserta, Bollate, and Rhibo. The postseason kicks off on July 20th with two best of 5 series.

With the one and two already set in division A, this weeks games are just a formality towards the conclusion of the season. In fact 1 of the 3 series on the schedule has been canceled as well as 2 make up games that were originally planed to be made up this weekend. The only clubs that will his the diamond will be the 1st place Sanotint Bollate in a series on the road against AMGA B.S.C. Legnano, and Collecchio in a matchup with the number 2 in the league, Rhibo Softball La Loggia.

Over in division B where there is still a lot on the table to play for all eyes will be on the series against Unione Fermana and Urbe Roma as Unione Fermana needs to pick up 2 of the 4 games to be played out this weekend on Saturday and Sunday. The magic numbers at two, thus the odds are highly in favor of Unione Fermana, especially due to the fact that they are facing off against a team that has yet to record a victory in 2013. With this said, the Blue Girls Bologna club are hoping for a miracle as all that 3rd place team can do is sit back and wait to see what happens.  The last playoff spot isn’t the only thing up for grabs, so is the number one spot in the division. DES Caserta is looking pretty good at the moment to hang onto the top seed, however a slip up against Fiorini Forlì could drop them to number two.
