The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) has awarded Colombia hosting rights for the 2024 U15 World Baseball Championship, which will take place at Edgar Renteria Stadium in Barranquilla from August 16-25, 2024. Barranquilla has a rich baseball history and most recently hosted the 2018 U23 Baseball World Cup,
Defending Euro champion Kingdom of the Netherlands and silver medalist Team Italy are among the six of twelve teams already qualified for the international tourney. Other confirmed participants include Chinese Taipei, Japan, South Africa and Guam. The remaining spots will be awarded through a wild card and the top five teams finishing at the Americas qualifying tournament.
This year's competition marks the 20th edition of the U15 Baseball World Cup. USA, Cuba and Chinese Taipei were the top three finishers of the last U15 World Cup In 2022.
