Team Italy makes U18 European Baseball Championship debut in Regensburg against Israel on July 8, 2024

Team Italy manager Guglielmo Trinci will have the Azzurri prepared for battle in the U18 European Baseball Championship from July 8-14, 2024 in Regensburg. The Italians are in Group A with host Germany, Israel, Austria, Croatia, and Spain.

Team Italy makes its debut at the U18 European Baseball Championship at Armin Wolf Arena in Regensburg, Germany, on Monday, July 8, 2024 at 2 pm (local time) against Israel. After a fourth-place finish when losing the bronze medal game to Czech Republic in the last edition of the Euros, Team Italy clashes against 2022 gold medal winner Spain, Germany, Israel, Austria and Croatia in Group A. Group B features silver medalist Kingdom of the Netherlands, Czech Republic, France, Great Britain, Belgium and Sweden.

The Azzurri play its second game on Tuesday, July 9th at 11:30 am against Austria before taking on Croatia on Wednesday, July 10th at 10 am. Team Italy concludes Group A action under the lights with Spain on Thursday, July 11th at 7:30 pm and Germany on Friday, July 12th at 6 pm.

The playoffs begin on Saturday, July 13th and the medal games take place on Sunday, July 14th.

U18 EUROPEAN BASEBALL CHAMPIONSHIP SCHEDULE

Team Italy has not won the title since 2015 in Ostrava, but Azzurri manager Guglielmo Trinci hopes to bring the squad back to the podium this year.
