Starting with two head-honchos, Bollate and Caserta, we saw a Saturday were both teams took it to theircompetition. Bollate won two games against Forli. The two games were dominated by pitching with the two teams combining for a total of 16 hits in two games. Game one was a tight one, with Bollate taking the match in extra innings (), game two was a little bit more relaxing for Bollate as they won by a final of .  As for Caserta, they were able to fairly easily walk past Legnano. The 2012 ISL Champs won game one and game two by a final of .  Dagmar Bloeming recorded 15 strikeouts on her way to a complete game victory in game one for Caserta. In game two Caserta crossed the plate in every inning except for the 6th.

Moving onto what everyone was waiting for, Sunday’s matchup between Sanotint Bollate and Des Caserta.  Who was going to prove superiority? Well the answer is Bollate, as the home team came out on top in two closely fought games. Game one was dominated by pitching as both offenses were only able to muster up 3 hits each. One of the three hits by Bollate was the difference in the game, a solo shot by Kosterink in the 3rd, the only run of the game. Cecchetti picked up the win for her club, continuing her dominance on the rest of the league. The game ended .  In game two the two clubs got busy with the bat.  Caserta scored 1 in the first and 7 in the second off of Alice Nicolini, who was then relieved by Kristen Wadwell. Wadwell threw the rest of the game picking a ‘W’ in 5 innings of 2 hit ball. Bollate’s never quit attitude in this game was alive and well with the home team coming all the way back from an 8-3 deficit to win the game on a walk-off 2 run double by Kristen Wadwell (the no doubt MVP of the game).

Collecchio’s struggles continued this weekend as they proceeded to drop another 4 games. The newcomers to the ISL now drop to 1 and 12 on the season after two losses to Dino Biggioni Unione Fermana ( an ) and two to The Blue Girls of Bologna ( and ).  As for the Blue Girls, they got a perfect 5-inning performance out of Johana Gomez on Sunday in game one. However they were not able to pick up any real ground against a Caserta team that lost two on Sunday due to a loss on Saturday to Bussolengo. Game two of that series was not played due to rain.

As for Specchiasol Bussolengo, in addition to picking up a win against Bologna they also split with Dino Bigioni Unione Fermana on Sunday. Game one of the series went to Fermana (Kimberly Reeder threw a complete game one hitter for Unione Fermana), while game two was won by Bussolengo, . Luana Luconi picked up the complete game victory.

Urbe Roma still remains without a victory after dropping all four games to their competition this weekend. On Saturday they welcomed in Rhibo La Logia. The visiting club made quite sure that they were not going to become the first team to lose to Rome this season. They won game one in 5 innings (Musitelli andBrandino combined for a no-hitter) and then once again finished game two early in a 5 inning victory. In the series the Roma batters only had a total of one hit. On Sunday Urbe came close to stealing a game against Sanco di Sardegna, but in the end they lost while being held hitless once again. In game two of the series between Roma and Nuoro, Nuoro once again walk away with an win, improving their overall record to 5 and 5 on the season.

Lastly, Legnano ran into some pretty tough competition this weekend. After dropping two games to Caserta on Saturday. They had to take on a very solid Forli club on Sunday. In game one Forli  was just to strong for their competition as they began to run away with the game in a 4 run 4th inning. The final score in this one was in favor of the visitors. Papucci picked up the win for Forli.  Game two also went in favor of Forli. The visitors scored once in the 1st, four times in the 3rd, and three times in the 5th on their way to the victory.
