FIBS Vice President Roberta Soldi is confident the Team Italy women's softball squad will prevail in overcoming all obstacles en route to Euros and Olympics

After overseeing the week-long training for the Team Italy women's softball squad in Ronchi dei Legionari, Federazione Italiana Baseball Softball (FIBS) Vice President Roberta Soldi spoke from the heart. In light of the tragic passing of the late and great manager Enrico Obletter, the hashtag #PerEnrico has been prevalent on all social media platforms with a sense of urgency to defend the European Softball Championship throne in Friuli Venezia Giulia and to medal in the Tokyo Olympics for Enrico.

Roberta Soldi said, "We were able to overcome everything that has happened. The objectives remain those set with Enrico and with all the staff. Even now, despite the difficulties that have occurred without Enrico, the path is just a bit more tortuous. But I like to remember what Enrico always told us, namely that it is never easy for a team to achieve success. These challenges have brought us closer together as a group and make our goal to achieve success even more important. I am confident after what the team has already experienced we will be able to overcome anything that comes our way until we have reached the point of competing and pursuing our intentions and objectives." Forza #Italia! #PerEnrico
