CODOGNO TOPS ROVIGO 13-6 IN WEEK 2 MAKE-UP

Series A Federal League

Codogno and Rovigo got together Wednesday night to tie up a game that was left uncontested due to Mother Nature.  There were a series of cancellations across Week 2, as rain and ash from the Icelandic Volcano wrecked scheduled play.

First-place Codogno quickly moved out to a 5-0 lead in the first innings and sailed to 12-3 lead after just 4 innings, leaving little doubt as to how the game would end.  Webber Calamia had 3 hits, 3 RBI and 3 runs scored to lead the Codogno attack.  Pietro Sandini picked up the win for his 5 innings of service in relief.

The win gives Codogno a full game cushion in the North Conference over second-place Senago-Milan.  Codogno will travel to Novara to take on Senago-Milan as part of the scheduled action of Week 8.
