Italy’s Serie A Baseball Group C play begins this weekend

Although Opening Day for the new 33-team Serie A Baseball League is scheduled for May 22, 2021, the top Italian baseball league springs into action when Group C play begins on May 8 and 9. Farma Crocetta and Camec Collecchio Baseball go head-to-head on May 8, while Ciemme Oltretorrente and Comcor Engineering Modena meet on May 9. Meanwhile, Fontana Ermes Sala Baganza earns a bye and patiently awaits its opener on May 16.

Farma Crocetta hosts Camec Collecchio Baseball for a doubleheader on Saturday, May 8 in San Pancrazio with games scheduled at 3 pm and 8 pm (local time). Serie A baseball returns to Stadio Nino Cavalli in Parma on Sunday, May 9 for a doubleheader between home team Ciemme Oltretorrente and visitor Comcor Engineering Modena with first pitch at 10:30 am and game two to follow at 3:30 pm (local time).
