Having lost to host Czech Republic two days prior, Team Italy looks to make amends with the Czechs and win the U18 Women's European Softball Championship final game in Prague on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 11 am (ET)

Rebounding from a disappointing 9-4 loss to U18 Women's European Softball Championship host Czech Republic on July 22, 2021, Team Italy manager Andrea Longagnani had his young and talented Azzurrine squad primed for a big performance against Kingdom of the Netherlands and Spain on Friday, July 23, 2021 in Prague. The Italians came through in the clutch with a 3-2 win over the Dutch and a five-inning mercy-rule enforced 10-3 victory over the Spaniards. As a result, Team Italy gets the opportunity for a rematch against Czech Republic in the U18 Women's European Softball Championship final on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 11 am (ET). TEAM ITALY 3, KINGDOM OF THE NETHERLANDS 2

Starting pitcher Beatrice Nannetti earned the win against Euro rival Kingdom of the Netherlands after throwing a complete seven-inning game. She allowed just two runs on eight hits with seven strikeouts and three walks. The Team Italy offense was led by Anita Bartoli (3-4, 2R, SB), Agnese Giacometti (R, RBI), Sarah Bortolotti (2-4, 2B) and Linda Rampoldi (2-3).

TEAM ITALY 10, SPAIN 3 (5 INNINGS)

Beatrice Nannetti won her second game of the day when she entered the contest against Spain in the fourth inning and threw two innings of hitless softball with two strikeouts and two walks. She worked in relief of starter Marianna Zumerle, who pitched three innings and surrendered three runs on three hits with one walk.

The Team Italy offense was fueled by the bats of Anita Bartoli (1-2, 2R, BB, SB), -Agnese Giacometti (1-3, R), Clara Carati (1-3, HR, R, 2RBI), Sarah Bortolotti (2-3, 2R, 3 RBI), Linda Rampoldi (1-2, BB, 2R), Giulia Bancora (2-3, R, 2RBI) and Chiara Bolognini (1-3, 2B).
