Team Italy softball senior elite and U22 squads gather in Buttrio on June 20, 2022
Team Italy softball managers Federico Pizzolini and Andrea Longagnani have revealed the summer calendar for the senior elite and U22 squads
Summer is here, and Italian softball is in full swing. Team Italy will gather in Buttrio on Monday, June 20, 2022 to begin preparation for the U22 European Softball Championship, the World Games, and the Senior Women’s European Softball Championship.
Prior to embarking for the U22 European Softball Championship in Kunovice, Czech Republic, the Team Italy U22 squad will conduct workouts in Buttrio from June 20-24, 2022. U22 manager Andrea Longagnani will attempt to lead his team to back-to-back championships after Team Italy won the 2018 international competition in Trnava, Slovakia.
Team Italy senior manager Federico Pizzolini will have his elite squad in Buttrio at the same time but will move on to Ronchi dei Legionari from June 25-July 3, 2022 in anticipation of the World Games in Birmingham, Alabama and the European Softball Championship in Sant Boi, Spain. The Italian skipper will announce his roster of 15 players selected to represent Team Italy in the World Games prior to their U.S. departure.
