Czech Republic pitchers Nikola Skardova and Lucie Vecerova threw a combined four-inning mercy-rule no hitter against Team Italy in the U15 European Softball Championship Enschede, the Netherlands on Tuesday, July 19, 2022. The Italians countered with starter Kylie Milano, who surrendered five earned runs on seven hits with seven strikeouts and two walks. Reliever Emma Silva entered the contest in the bottom of the fourth inning and tried to stop the bleeding against the strong Czech Republic offense, but the Italians were eliminated via mercy rule 10-0.

Team Italy rebounded later in the day with a three-inning mercy-rule 24-0 shutout over Croatia. Starting pitcher Giulia Squalizza threw an abbreviated game no-hitter with six strikeouts and no walks. The Italians scored nine runs in the first inning, 10 runs in the second inning and five runs in the third inning.
The Team Italy offense was fueled by slugger Mirta Anselmi, who went 3-for-3 with an inside-the-park home run, one walk, one stolen base, four RBI and two runs scored. Anita Girardi was just as effective with one hit, two walks, two steals, two RBI and four runs scored. Solid contributors included catcher Elisa Zanolla (1-for-3, 2 RBI and 3 R), Giulia Colino (1-for-2, 2B, RBI and R), Greta Vescovo (2-for-2, RBI and 2 R), Noemi Cortesi (1-for-1, RBI and 2 R), and Sveva Moggi (1-for-1, BB, SB, RBI and R).
