With the U18 Baseball World Cup Opening Round finished, Team Italy (0-5) now competes in the U18 Baseball World Cup Placement Round to determine 7th through 12th place. The Italians play South Africa at Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 9 am (ET). Team Italy returns to Sarasota on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 9 am (ET) for a battle against Canada. Then the Azzurri play their final game of the U18 Baseball World Cup Placement Round at Ed Smith Stadium against Brazil on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 9 am (ET).
In the U18 Baseball World Cup Super Round to determine the top six countries, Group A winner USA along with Korea and Kingdom of the Netherlands battle Group B winner Chinese Taipei, Japan and Mexico. The Gold Medal Game takes place on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at 2 pm (ET), while the Battle for the Bronze kicks off earlier in the morning at 10 am (ET).
