Novara pitcher hangs up IBL spikes, heads back to USA

NOVARA -The Novara Baseball organization revealed that one of their starting pitchers will no longer be available for the remainder of the season

NOVARA -The Novara Baseball organization revealed that one of their starting pitchers will no longer be available for the remainder of the season.

According to reports, Mike Waters, an American pitcher with an Italian passport, boarded a flight back to the USA without much of a notice to the Novara front office.

Numerous phone calls to Water’s phone went unanswered.

The sudden escape leaves Novara with a major gap to fill in the pitching department.

There is no risk to fall further in the standings, but Novara is looking to build for next year and calling up young and unseasoned players from their minor league system may be the only solution to finish out the second-half of the regular season.
