MLB Academy to be held this summer at FIBS training center

PISA – Major League Baseball’s summer baseball Academy will be organized at the FIBS Baseball and Softball Training Center, which is housed within the confines of one of the Italian National Olympic Training Centers in Tirrenia (Pisa), Italy

PISA – Major League Baseball’s summer baseball Academy will be organized at the FIBS Baseball and Softball Training Center, which is housed within the confines of one of the Italian National Olympic Training Centers in Tirrenia (Pisa), Italy.

 The MLB Academy brings all the top young baseball talent to one venue for 16 days of practice organizations, scrimmages and workouts.

The “tryout” will run from August  1st to the 17th.

A mini-tryout will be held this Thursday, May 3 in Tirrenia and 74 aspiring Italian products from the ages of 15-19 will be trying to get the call back for a ticket to the summer Academy.

The MLB Scouting Bureau will hold further tryouts in Mainz (GER), Haarlem (NED) and Prague (CZE), but only invitees will be able to demonstrate their talents.

Among past Academy cadets is current Seattle Mariner, Alex Liddi.
