Bologna's Gianni Falchi stadium welcomes the Italian National Elite team as it prepares for Haarlem Baseball Week in July
After a 4-1 victory over San Marino on May 24, 2022, Team Italy plays its second exhibition game against UnipolSai Fortitudo at Gianni Falchi stadium in Bologna on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. The seven-inning contest will begin at 7:30 pm. The Italian National Elite team will take the field earlier in the day for an afternoon workout.
National Baseball Hall of Famer and Team Italy manager Mike Piazza will be assisted by pitching coach Bobby Cramer, coaches Doriano Bindi, Gianmario Costa, Alberto d'Auria, Gianmarco Faraone and Michele Gerali. In addition, athletic trainer Michele Bonaccorso, physiotherapist Massimo Baldi and delegation manager Vincenzo Mignola will be there to lend a hand in Bologna.
