Israel (1-1) defeated Russia (0-2) by a score of 7-5 in extra innings before suffering a 5-0 shutout to Kingdom of the Netherlands (2-0) in Castions di Strada. France (1-1) also lost 8-1 to Kingdom of the Netherlands in Castions di Strada but beat Russia 5-3 in Castions delle Mura.
Group G
Poland (1-0) defeated Denmark (0-1) by a score of 10-1 in Ronchi di Legionari. Lithuania (0-2) endured a 12-4 loss to Hungary in Castions di Strada and a 19-0 shutout to Ukraine in Castions delle Mura.
Group H
Austria (1-0) defeated Bulgaria (0-1) by a score of 14-5 in Castions delle Mura, while Croatia (1-0) edged winless Slovakia (0-1) 2-1 in Castions delle Mura.
