With a 13-3 mercy-rule victory over Sweden in U18 Women's European Softball Championship Group A action, Team Italy relief pitcher Beatrice Nannetti picked up her second win of the international tournament in Prague, Czech Republic. She struck out the side in the top of the third inning and preserved a slim 4-3 lead. The Italians returned in the bottom of the third inning and scored eight runs to put the game out of the reach. Reliever Linda Rampoldi pitched a scoreless top of the fourth inning before the mercy rule was enforced when Team Italy added one run in the bottom of the fourth inning to seal the 13-3 victory.

After surrendering three runs to Germany in the top of the first inning, Team Italy starting pitcher Marianna Zumerle settled down and threw two scoreless innings with three strikeouts to earn the 12-7 win. A three-run home run by infielder Sarah Bortolotti and a 3-for-5 hitting performance from catcher Clara Carati highlighted the Team Italy offensive attack.
