WBSC U12 Baseball World Cup postponed to 2022

The Team Italy U12 baseball squad will have to until the summer of 2022 to compete in the WBSC U12 World Cup in Tainan, Taiwan

The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) has announced that the sixth edition of the U12 Baseball World Cup has been postponed to the summer of 2022 with the exact dates announced later. Originally scheduled for the summer of 2021, the youth baseball world championship was first postponed to later this year due to the ongoing pandemic.

Four-time defending European champion Team Italy and runner-up Czech Republic as well as Japan, South Korea and WBSC Baseball World Cup reigning champion Taiwan are among the teams currently qualified for the tournament. Players born in 2010 and 2011 will be eligible to be selected onto their respective national teams. Forza #Italia!
