Grosseto town square boasts inflatable batting cage ahead of IBL All-Star Game

GROSSETO, Tuscany –The city hall of Grosseto didn't break out the red carpet, but the mayor's office did allow the Grosseto Orioles to break out the red and blue inflatable batting cage and permitted shop to be set up at the city’s storied Piazza Baccarini

GROSSETO, Tuscany –The city hall of Grosseto didn't break out the red carpet, but the mayor's office did allow the Grosseto Orioles to break out the red and blue inflatable batting cage and permitted shop to be set up at the city’s storied Piazza Baccarini.

Local kids, of all ages, big and small, got the opportunity to have some summertime fun and take some hacks under a controlled, safe and friendly setting.

The promotion was organized to raise awareness of the Italian Baseball League All-Star Game, which takes place on June 30 at Grosseto’s . The higher-ups of the Italian Baseball Softball Federation awarded the 2012 hosting rights of the 2nd IBL All-Star Game to Grosseto last year.
