Parma Clima returns to Euro Baseball Champions Cup throne for 14th time after 22-year absence

Parma Clima defeated the Bonn Capitals 6-4 to win the European Baseball Champions Cup title, while UnipolSai Fortitudo Bologna settled for third place with a 11-9 victory over Curaçao Neptunus in Ostrava, Czech Republic on July 17, 2021

Parma Clima won its 14th European Baseball Champions Cup title in club history after a long 22-year wait by beating the Bonn Capitals 6-4 in the final game of the international competition in Ostrava, Czech Republic on Saturday, July 17, 2021. MVP Alex Sambucci proved his weight in gold for Parma Clima. In addition to slugging a home run in the bottom of the fourth inning, he hit an RBI double and later scored on an RBI single from catcher Giulio Monello in the bottom of the fifth inning to secure the victory for Parma Clima. Stefano Desimoni (2-for-4, BB, R), Leo Rodriguez (1-for-3, HR, 3 RBI, R) and Cesare Astorri (2-for-4, 2-2B, R) also had great success at the plate. Pitchers Mattia Aldegheri, Danny Rondon, Julio Vivas and Jose Campos got the job done for Parma Clima.
