Baseball team in Sicily part of anti-mafia demonstration

PATERNO - The Paterno Red Sox baseball club took part in a community effort that spoke out against the mafia. 

The Red Sox suited up in their game jerseys and headed to Giovanni XIII Park looking to strike out the mafia and score a victory for the home team: the city of Paterno. 

The underground world of Sicily still operates a sophisticated international organized crime unit.  

The rich history of Sicily has served as the inspiration of many Hollywood blockbusters.

FIBS and the Red Sox were part of the demonstration to shut down the mafia.
